Transforming How Nigeria’s Air Travellers Get Heard Picture this: your flight is delayed, your luggage is missing, or you are denied boarding. You want to complain, but where do you go, and how do you track it? To solve this, the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), through tech firm Axendit, has launched Version 2 of the Consumer Protection Directorate (CPD) portal. Building on the original platform launched in September 2024, the new version of the CPDportal includes an easy to use app that provides greater rights of valued passengers. It moves beyond basic digitisation to building trust and transparency in public service. Nigerian air passengers will get a better travelling experience from the upgraded platform including: - A Simpler Way to Be Heard: Reporting a cancelled flight or lost baggage should not cause extra headache. The portal provides a straightforward digital process so passengers can log issues instantly. - Real-Time Visibility on complaints: Instead of dropping complaints into a black hole, passengers can track the exact status and resolution of their cases, driving greater accountability. - Connecting the Aviation Ecosystem: The platform links passengers, airlines, and regulators. Airlines get a structured workflow to respond to issues, while the NCAA gets data to oversee consumer protection and fix recurring industry trends. - Accessible Anywhere: Engagement is not tied to a desktop. You can lodge and track complaints at home or directly from the airport via the web app (cpd.ncaa.gov.ng) or mobile apps on iOS and Android. Effective public service innovation is not just about launching technology; it is about building systems that work for everyday people. The NCAA Customer Protection Directorate Portal Version 2 makes complaining easier, transparent, and responsive when travel plans go wrong.
